Sculptures
Making poetry, sculpting bodies (Serie with 30 works)
Cristina Almeida transforms the perception of the world’s shape, as she conceives it, in a palpable piece that reflects her restless soul, in constant movement. She reports that each interlocutor who interacts with the piece transports it to their imagination and imprints their own feelings on it, creating bonds. We know it: in art, bonding is the primordial act of every being, and in every action, magic, the arts, memory and science are nothing but the power to create bonds. Giordano Bruno once stated that things and men weave relationships and bonds with one another. What stands out in this process is that in such a short time working in the arts, Cristina has already understood this, and her works and process confirm her sculpture as a primordial act through bonds.
